This amendment is pretty boring. Basically it says the government can't change the salary of senators or representatives until those senators or representatives vote on it. I guess it's good because one senator can't just suddenly say that everybody gets a million dollars, although I don't really know how having senators voting on it might stop that from happening.

What's coolest about this amendment was that it was initially proposed in 1789. It was "lost" until sometime in the 1980's when someone's aide found it. That's your citizen/history class for today. There's actually some legitimate historical reasons for the adoption of this amendment as lame as it sounds. You're now excused.

Fine, fine. I was going to do all of them, but if you want to call them that's fine. They don't get interesting for a few more amendments anyway. Like whenever you get to that equal rights... oh, right, nevermind.
