While checking in with the USS Yamato, the Enterprise catches a ten thousand year old computer virus (kinda like getting Doom II Death in 2015) that threatens to destroy the ship. Meanwhile Picard investigates the space door technology of the oldies, some aliens named the Iconians.

Enterprise S3E8 - "Twilight"
This is one of those "what if" episodes where everybody dies (including earth) but we never believe any of it will stick for a second.

Saw V
So Saw IV was, as mentioned, needlessly comprised of flashbacks to Saws I-III explaining details none of us ever wondered about. Surely they must be done flashing back to the previous movies, right? Wrong! On the one hand I must give the series a modicum of credit for trying to break out of the traditional horror structure of more movies=more kills and that's all, but really, do any of us care about more than the elaborate deaths? I must also point out that these movies take place over the course of like a month, which must really terrify that city. "A 51st victim of a weird Rube Goldberg deathtrap was discovered today, careful out there everybody!" The plot here is a cop is trying to stop some people from dying (for the fifth time) but maybe he's the one being tested, let's find out (of course he is).

The Expendables
If The Expendables was a pasta, it would be testosteroni. The film's major draw, in that it features virtually every major action star from the last thirty years, is also what keeps it from being a fully satisfying movie. With so many characters in the mix there isn't enough time for any of them to develop or, you know, have more than two lines. The plot, what little there is, is somewhat reminiscent of the last Rambo movie. But let's face it, no one goes to see a movie like this for plot, character development and/or narrative arc. You go to see stuff blow up real good and, trust me, they got that part covered.Rating: Anabolic AARP%
