Touch Of Evil

#74 on Glenn's Top 100 Movie List

I like this movie a lot better than I like Citizen Kane. I can understand why Citizen Kane is considered a much more influential movie, but this one is much more enjoyable to me. And creepy. But who am I? The AFI? Not to spoil any surprises, but I like Wayne's World a lot more than I like Citizen Kane. I also feel the need to note that I've only seen Touch of Evil once, and just remember being blown away by it. So I guess my top 100 list is kind of fluid. Like how I switched up Elephant earlier. Remember that?

Citizen Kane

#100 on Glenn's Top 100 Movie List

Yeah yeah, it's great, everybody knows it. Seriously, though, if you watched this movie and didn't know anything about it or when it was shot, you'd think it was made in the late sixties or seventies, and the black and white was just a gimmick. I mean, the camera work is terrific. I hate it when people say things were ahead of their time, because it seems easy, but damn, Gina, this was ahead of its time.
