Hall and Oates

There's nothing more ironic than the cover of 1981's "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" single. Times were crazy then (maybe for the better), and nothing said Rock N' Soul more than John Oates' mustache. What's seriously great about these guys is that they weren't pushing for mainstream success. They were just rocking and souling with tunes like "Kiss Is On My List", "Maneater" and "She's Gone". Daryl Hall's Sacred Songs is a great album and perfect example of real talent. Poor John Oates, besides that mustache I think he helped produce or write a hit song for a Canadian band or something. Eh, at least we can give him points for the mustache.
