Kimchi

The poet and literary critic Fred Turner once observed that one culture's soul food, like breast milk, may be nauseating to another. Kimchi is spicy and sour, with the appearance of used bandages and the texture of a drowned man's flesh. It's also delicious, just like breast milk.
