1990s Taboo

Theoretically, I like the game Taboo. But when you have a nearly ten-year-old version, like I do, the game either gets a lot easier or a lot harder. For “Rosie O’Donnell” and “Ellen Degeneres,” one of the words you can’t say isn’t “lesbian,” so you can make someone guess those in like 6 seconds. But then there are cards that ask you to describe things like a “Cyber Café,” and “El Nino.” There’s even a card for Linda Tripp – really took me a few to remember who she is. I am ready for the next generation of Taboo, with cards about Lindsay Lohan (“coke,” “SamRo”), Sarah Palin (“Alaska,” “gun,” “moose”) and Bernie Madoff, who I won't remember in ten years either.

What the f*** is a "cyber cafe?"

I think they were places where you could go to pay to use a big boxy PC and go on the internets and play Final Fantasy with friends if you linked your computers with big electric ropes. I'm not sure there was ever any coffee. "El Nino" had an illustrious wrestling career.

Don't worry John, I'm sure Canada will be getting Cyber Cafes any day now.

Canada only has electric lights for 12 hours a day, 8 months a year.

We fill empty moosehead bottles with fireflies and hang them from the ceilings of our igloos, or we light the way with our own socialist self-satisfaction.

A moose is loose in the hoose! Ha ha ha ha

it's hEW-oose, not "hoose."

@IJ

cyber cafe= PCbang.

I thought you LIVED in Europe. How did you miss this?

LoCo said...

PCbang? Damn... that sounds uncomfortable.

Thanks, the internet. I take back what I said earlier to Chris about you being nothing more than a pair of tits and a scrubbing arm. Also, I didn't LIVE in Europe so much as I DRANK so much in Europe that I probably gave myself brain damage.

Loco: Bang=room in Korean. But it's pronounced more like "bong."
