Nouns by No Age

So I've (admittedly) tried to cast myself away from the "indie" music scene because I'm just that much of an indie kid that I'll deny I even know anything about it, except that it's such a lame thing to talk about. I'm pretty sure that elevates me to some sort of uber-indie status, which then makes everything pretty ironic. That's why it takes albums like Nouns by No Age to really remind me what I enjoy about those bands that live on the fringe. This duo's latest album embodies everything right about noise/experimental rock within pop (sometimes even bubblegum) sensibilities. The fact two guys can make so much noise while maintaining calm lyrical cohesion is pretty incredible.
