Infamous

I seriously went through a period after beating Mass Effect 2 where the thought of playing any other video game depressed me. Then I lucked my way into a PS3, and decided to pick up this game to help my way through that depression (rather than using spare time to write, read, etc.). It's pretty boring, though. You play as a whiny dick who stumbles into e;ecty powers, and then there's some bad guys but WHO CARES??? I guess I'm going to have to face facts that no game I ever play will be Mass Effect 2.

My Dentist's Waiting Room

Thanks to H1N1 and the Norwalk virus, they no longer have magazines in my dentist's waiting room. Now sure, those magazines were horribly out of date at best, but they were better than nothing. I'd rather risk my health thumbing through a five year old issue of Maclean's or Reader's Digest than engage in idle chit chat with strangers. Thanks a lot horribly infectious viruses, you've gone and turned my dentist's waiting room into the bus.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Century 1910

I really like LXG, but Century: 1910 was kinda boring. Neither the characters nor the milieu are developed in the lively way that I've come to expect from this series. The literary references are less interesting and funny and more obscure than usual. The art is dark and stiff. Not much seems to happen, plot-wise, either. Maybe it'll take another read or two before I "get" it, or maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe it was just a rushed job. I guess I'm glad I own this, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't already a huge Moore fan.

The Twenty-third Amendment

Everybody who lives in Washington, DC is always like "Waa waa, I pay taxes but I don't get any particular person to represent my anger about those taxes to a governing body of some sort." Well, I guess in 1960 they either felt sorry for those people or wanted to shut them up for like two seconds because this amendment at least gives people in the District of Columbia the right to select electors for presidential elections. The one state to be a big dick and try to reject this amendment? You guessed it.
