Comedy Style

Sometimes you will be talking to a person and then they say a thing that is odd or weird and you chuckle. That person has what is known as "Comedy Style" to scientists and other smartos. Comedy Style isn't easy to come by because it demands a careful balance of muscles and seratonin, but sometimes a person who has Comedy Style can come up and have a show or a special and say a dozen odd or weird things in a row that make you laugh or even chortle. In these tough economic times America needs Comedy Style more than ever, and those lucky individuals who possess it should be revered as the Patriots they are.

Semi-Pro

I don't know, I guess I just wanted it to be possible to live in a world where the movie Semi-Pro starring Will Ferrell was funny. Sure, it probably couldn't have been and also wasn't, but wouldn't that have been great if it somehow pulled it off? The plot is it's the 1970s and Will Ferrell is the eccentric owner/announcer/coach/promoter/point guard on a struggling fictional ABA team, the Flint Tropics. The movie practically writes itself (bad thing).

Lameville, TX

There's nowhere to get a proper drink in Richardson that's even remotely close to campus. What the balls kind of university "pub" doesn't even serve alcohol? And what's the point of going to a bar if you have to drive there? Our local university's mascot shouldn't be a comet, it should be an alien (because everyone's alienated, get it?) who commutes his way around the field in a late model Toyota SUV. Or maybe a scowling, shrugging bureaucrat in a registrar's office t-shirt.
