I never really listened to Hüsker Dü, which I always felt the same sort of guilt about as I did for never really listening to Dinosaur Jr. Both bands are major influences and contemporaries of Sonic Youth, although based on this album I guess I'd say Hüsker Dü has more traditional song structure and is way more boring. This album is ok, but when they break out the acoustic guitars I want to break out the cyanide because it is tres lame. Anyway, one good thing about this band is that they have umlauts.
RATING: 51%
PS - You can thank Warner Bros. for making it impossible to find videos for this band, just like The Flaming Lips the other day.

Hüsker Dü is a terrific noise band. When we get complaints from neighbors about the sounds from our love making, we turn up the volume on Hüsker Dü. Eight Miles High is very suitable for this. At max volume it shakes the whole building. Wunderbar!
It's pretty lame that you just said "tres lame."
I've never been a fan. Most of my friends back home who grew up in Hali or St. John's are all about Husker Du and the Descendents and Minor Threat, and the country boys are all about KISS, AC/DC and Megadeth. I'll say this for Husker Du, though: they seemed to offer some sort of protection from the awful late 90's nu metal fad. Maybe their fans had no time for more umlauts?
Husker Du? More like Husker DON'T!
Haha. Hahaha. Oh my. Hah.
(whatever)
@Bryan
tres lame

Man, is everybody here gay except me?!
I'm tres gay!
Keybun, do you want to get together for a threesome?
Oh my blessed Lord...this is getting tres hot. But carry on. Be sure to tell us how it turns out.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.
@ Laurie
