Sometimes I try to Google the site and find out where it ranks in the organic search results (hint: it doesn't). But a site that I'd consider a precursor to R3 makes the list on page 2. Someone beat us to the punch long ago. But I doubt Brent Newland would find this site funny either. They failed to realize the geniusness behind arbitrary ratings, but some of the reviews are not bad. Is this your old site, Glenn?

They're so bourgeois--the entire page is an exercise in commodity fetishism. And what kind of moron would post reviews without any pictures?
Decreased posting frequency, hardly any comments... is this a look into our future?
They were going strong for quite a while too.
Yeah, they fought the good fight. But we'll do better. Sure, R3 might peter out in 6 months, or 2 years, or whatever--it happens. And if it does, we'll fucking review it.
Man, they even have the same name. Jerks.
They have posts with, like 150 comments. But they've got no class--it's like a shitty forum or something.
These two sites have nothing in common, well except the idea and name.
They think watching SinCity makes them nerds. They think Kirsten Dunst is HOT!
Really, it's like comparing apples and oranges.
Their blog obviously fell apart because they failed to identify a well-defined, white, crisco-haired Other. Scapegoating is part of the glue that holds society together. I think René Thom said that in Violence and the Sacred, which I didn't read a word of.
For me the real geniusness behind this blog is the comment section. I barely read the reviews!
