GQ Rates "America's 25 Douchiest Colleges," Forgets Subscription Demographics

Hey, I'm not a big fan of ASU either, but really, GQ? Aside from your article's unfunniness and general lack of reasoning, I can't help but feel as if this is possibly the most unintentionally ironic time-waste you've ever published. Hey. What's the difference between a douchebag and a Qouchebag? Prada glasses and an overuse of the term 'zeitgeist' in casual conversation.

Couldn't you just link it in the post?

I find the American attitude toward post-secondary education puzzling. It all seems to be less about learning and more about who you can give the secret handshake to at a job interview 10 years down the road.

My least favorite college description was Harvard. Maybe "Harvard douchery" is self-evident to the staff of GQ, but it struck me as a lazy excuse not to write anything funny.

UT grads are douches, though. Whenever you meet someone at UTD who did UT undergrad they act like a) they're slumming and b) they dropped more cool in the toilet that morning than you'll ever even see. Fucking Austinites.

That was my initial reaction. I mean, I understand that colleges and universities have student bodies, football teams, reputations for this and that. But for GQ to rate academic institutions? Based on the actions of 18 year old kids? And then publish it? And then forget that most of those same douches probably have a stack of GQ's sitting on the coffee table next to the skull-bong?

Yeah, it reinforces the very douchery it's trying to criticize. Probably the number one thing college douches do is pigeonhole the entire student population of this-or-that college.

It'd still be OK if it was written better, though. R3 is living proof that you can find sparkling wit in the most irrelevant horseshit imaginable.

That title is brilliant. I am happily surprised that FSU was not on the list despite the rampant doucheiness of its thousands of frat boys.

Also, they chose some pretty innocuous colleges. U of Chicago is douchey, but Vandy isn't?
