Legend is like Pan's Labyrinth for the 80s only with less fascism and more 20 year old Tom Cruise in short shorts. I discovered this right around the same time as I discovered the Rocky Horror picture show and to this day I can't see a picture of satan's son from Legend without imagining him dressed as Dr. Frank-N-Furter

The only way Legend would have been better is if they had L. Ron Hubbard playing the guy with horns.
What has always troubled me about depictions of Satan (ala the photo for this post) is how vaguely human his characteristics seem to be. "Yes, let's slap horns on the guy and paint him red! Ooh, scary!" We do the same thing with aliens. The concept of Satan--and in a more broad, ethical and possibly even ontological sense--is, to say the least, nebulous; after all these years we still can't seem to reach a consensus, strictly speaking, on the what exactly evil is and is not.
Also, Laurie, have you tried human bacon? It's delish! Send me you home mailing address and I'll be happy to mail you a slab.
I used to think Tom Cruise was hot. Now I think he is just weird. I wouldn't do him even if he was the last guy on the island.
Haha, every gay man I know ha"s a story of at least one "friend or a "friend of a friend" who has allegedly had sex with Tom Cruise.
And might I add, I know a lot of gay men.
I bet I know more.
Check out the funny hockey fan clip I posted under my Madden review! And comment there!

Legend can't touch Pan's Labyrinth, unless there's a young girl at the end who wins her red shoes by (perversely) getting shot through uterus by a fascist patriarch and I just missed it.
I could watch Tom cruise get bottle whipped over and over again, too.
Best. Movie. EVER.
just tought it desered a little bit more discussion...
@John: Yeah, no Legend is obviously a less great movie than Pan's Labyrinth. (What do you take me for?) I meant to imply that with my comparison of fascism and Tom Cruise in short shorts.
You never know what you'll hear some people say about Pan's Labyrinth on this blog.
Yeah, Glenn is really wrong sometimes.
Also, I'd like to express that I absolutely love the photo I picked to go with this review. He looks so jaunty!
