You know...the Articles of Confederation were never actually repealed (they didn't actually have a procedure for repeal, but there was an Amendment procedure that was never followed). The Founders just sort of threw them out and enacted the Constitution. So legally, the Articles are (sort of) still law. There's this funny debate in the legal community about the best way to justify the legality of the Constitution. But when I say "debate" keep in mind that it's among, like, five history geeks who got law degrees, and not the community at large. Kind of interesting, tho. Right?
