Well Harry and Dumbledore go on some plucky misadventures, modeled after the pre-Hellenistic notions of pederasty (wands a waving everywhere and what not). As this promotional image tells you, the film tries to explore the relationship of Dumbledore to Harry and the rest of the students at Hogwarts. Result: fail.

How did it compare to the book?
Anyone?
Loren, wow! You really are the intermittent poster. Just when I think you've forgotten about R3, you show back up.
What happened to the influx of female posters we were expecting? Glenn? I want answers.
You scared them off with your manliness?
who the heck is loren and what is he doing on my webpage
It changes a few things from the book, but I think the changes actually improve the story, at least in terms of how it works as a film. I wrote an insanely long review of this on Flixster.
Yeah Intermittent Poster strikes! That's what happens when you don't have a job and spend all day in the library.
I thought this movie was pretty good--way better than the last one. I found the teeny bopper romantic shit endearing, and the dark stuff genuinely scary. It didn't build the suspense about the Half Blood Prince's identity as well as it could have, but I still thought it was a B+ effort at least.
