When the cops arrive to clean up after his last killing spree, Jason hightails it away from Crystal Lake to nearby Higgins Haven (killing a few people along the way). Lucky for him, a young lady and her horny stoner friends have flocked to the same area for a weekend getaway. With a group of angry bikers hiding out in the barn and a hockey masked killer lurking in the shadows, will any of our horny protagonists survive? This is the worst one next to Jason Takes Manhattan.
As far as the original Paramount series (1 to 8) goes, you're right. But none of them were nearly as bad as Jason X.
My fave part of Jason Takes Manhattan is when that girl is playing the electric guitar that isn't plugged in.
The subsequent scene with the acid/heroin ("it'll feel better if you're stoned, baby")is a textbook silver screen example of why people who haven't done drugs shouldn't mess with scripts that depict their use.
