Up In The Air is an original movie about a man who thinks he can live a solitary life but then realizes he doesn't like to be alone after all. It's pretty good I guess. A lot of critics are calling it the "best picture of 2009," and at first I was all like, "Tch, yeah right," but then I thought "what the hell other good movies even came out last year? The Hurt Locker?" What a shitty year.

Inglourious Basterds was probably the best thing I saw in '09. But, then again, I managed to skip all the prestige pictures last year.
Eh, I felt like the ending of Up in the Air was a copout in the extreme.
waht about precios
Did you not see the latest in another of the alternative universe versions of "ST:TOS?"
That series could be rebooted, doubtful the same thing can be said about "ST:TNG." I know I really don't think I could stomach another version of Commander Katherine Pulaski, MD in any incarnation, do you?
I did not like this movie at all. I found it mostly "blah" until the ending, which as mentioned above, was shit.
It was a shitty year for movies, but there were some pretty good ones: In The Loop, Up, Coraline, The Box (only I liked this movie apparently), Moon, Big Fan, The Informant!, A Serious Man...
Some people might throw District 9 in there, though I personally didn't enjoy it.
And, Glenn, 2009 saw a movie called Donkey Punch released. I won't see it; no way can it live up to that title.
I do not like it in a plane,
I do not like it on a train,
Or with a hound, or with a hen
I do not like this movie, Glenn.
I would not watch it in a house,
I would not watch it with a mouse
I would not watch it in the car,
I would not watch it at the bar.
I would not watch it with a beer,
I would not watch it over here
I would not watch it over there,
I would not watch it ANYWHERE
I DO NOT LIKE UP IN THE AIR.
You should submit that to an anthology of conservative poetry.
Well played, sir.
