Spider-man: Web Of Shadows

This game features the whiniest Spider-man in history, and since we're already talking about Spider-man that's a serious achievement. The plot is some Venom symbiotes take over the city and you've gotta stop them or join them, your call. It's a lot of fun to websling around and beat up people or cars, but it's only about a 10 hour game start to finish. Also, no Chrysler Building, so points off for execution.

RATING: 62%

I was interested in that game when it was in development, but when it came out all the reviews I read about it just seemed blah.

I suggest the Wolverine: Origins game instead. It's surprisingly good, and can be played through in about 2 rental sessions.

Yeah, I actually played the Wolverine game first but I never got around to reviewing it. I didn't see the movie, but if the game accurately reflected what the movie was then I would have been in line from the beginning.

That game is a rarity, surpassing the film in action and story. I get such a kick out of watching Wolverine slice and dice goons into a bloody pulp with blood and viscera dripping from his claws, all while dressed in his Classic Wolverine yellow spandex (unlockable).
