The Monster Squad

#87 on Glenn's Top 100 Movie List

This was one of the central movies of my childhood. Basically a bunch of kids fights and defeats Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and the Gill Man. Oops. Spoilers. Also, this movie demonstrates the late 80s early 90s trend of having an end credits rap song that summarizes the whole movie in case you forgot. See Ghostbusters II. Just kidding. That piece of crap is not on my list.

RATING: 83%

Monster Squad was a sweet movie. I haven't seen it in something like two decades. I wonder how it's held up.

I saw it ten years ago and it held up pretty well. In college in my group of friends only me and this other girl had seen it, and none of our other friends believed it existed. We tried to track it down at the video stores to no avail. Now it's gotten some kind of super special dvd release, so maybe everybody should rent it or something.

I actually added this to my netflix queue a few weeks ago. I think this should almost complete my movie watching experience, almost...
