Kona Brewing Company's Pipeline Porter

This is some pretty good shit even if you aren't a fan of porters. It's a good session beer (especially for a porter), smooth with lots of malt flavor and a nice balance of hops to round out the 100% Hawaiian Kona coffee. Chocolate, roasted coffee and malts dominant the taste and make for a great porter that you won't have to fear buying a 6-pack of.

  1. It's what Budweiser markets as "drinkability".

  2. That "explanation" made me even more confused.

  3. It's a word used to define a beer (typically) lower than 5% ABV with a nice balance of malts and hops that allows one to drink several in one sitting.

  4. Great review, Chris. I think I'll buy a 6-pack of this for the ice box in the ass cabin when it's my weekend again.

  5. If I had an ass cabin I'd require everyone on the lease to do it doggy-style.

  7. Well isn't it nice that we all know Chris's favorite sex position now.

  8. Ass cabin? Doggy-style? I'm clearly way out of the loop, but even without knowing anymore I'm so ready to sign that lease!

  9. @Dirk: Ass cabin is an inside joke from the R3 party. I'll explain next time I see you. We're not going to act anything out, tho, so don't get any wild ideas.

  10. Speak for yourself, Laurie.

I think Viking Andrew was completely serious.

  11. Chris: Do you mean because I said it was a "joke"?

  12. No, because you said no one was going to act anything out.
